Vocabulary Lesson

1. arrow (ār'ō) (v.) freq. military slang
- Assign, deligate (esp. an unpleasant task); direct, order.
"During his absence, he was arrowed by his classmates to be a class rep."
"He was arrowed by a classmate to attend and speak at a school dialogue session for potential new students."

2. sabo (sāb'ə) (v.)
- Do some intentional or careless act or omission that causes inconvenience, harm, etc.
"His former group members sabo-ed him by joining another group, abandoning him to find a new one."
"His colleagues sabo-ed him by promising a patient that they can get the drug in an unreasonably short time."
"The sales rep sabo-ed him by giving him false promises that the drug would arrive on time."
3. fly kite (flī kīt) (v.)
- Euphemism for more vulgar forms of outbursts as someone who is frustrating and annoying.
- Socially acceptable alternative to the ubiquitous but unprintable 'f--k off'.
"After his former group members abandoned him, he told them to go fly kite when they mentioned Group Outing."

4. fly aeroplane (flī âr'ə-plān') (v.)
- Fail to keep an appointment, stand someone up.
"She was the one who wanted to meet for lunch but she fly aeroplane and made him waste time waiting."

5. what the f--k (hwŭt thē fŭk) (n.)
- Exclaimation of bewilderment.
- Slang. (used as an intensifier, esp. with questions, to express annoyance)
"They promised a patient an Exemption Drug in 2 days? What the F--k!"

6. mistaken (mĭ-stā'kən) (v.)
- Wrong or incorrect in opinion, understanding or perception.
"They thought he was a nice guy. Boy... were they mistaken."

forget (fər-gět') (v.)
- To be unable to remember.
- To treat with thoughtless inattention, neglet.
- To leave behind unintentionally.
- To fail to mention
"He acts like he doesn't care but I know that he NEVER forgets when someone has pissed him off."

7. wrath (räth) (n.)
- Strong, stern or fierce anger; deeply resentful indignation; ire.
- Vengeance or punishment as the consequence of anger.
"Those who took him for granted faced his wrath and they faded into oblivion screaming in agony."
