Go ahead... Make my day.

Behold... the Nerf N-Strike Maverick Rev-6 Blaster!

This has got to be the best dart gun I have ever gotten.

6-dart auto advancing cylinder, partial flip out cylinder for easy loading, pull back cocking mechanism and KICK ASS FIRING DISTANCE!!!!

I was wandering around Isetan Parkway with Weng and Kimmie when we stumbled upon this gorgeous piece of foam dart propelling hardware hidden at the back of the Nerf shelf. Initially, Kimmie had a hard time deciding between this and the N-Strike NiteFinder but I managed to convince her to get the Maverick because of its 6-shot capability (we bought the last 2 pieces).

Compared to standard handguns, the Maverick is HUGE! (Think Hellboy). It feels really solid when you hold it and the pull back cocking mechanism has sufficient resistance and gives a gratifying "ka-chunk" that sent shivers down my spine when I first heard it. The downside is that you have to cock the gun everytime you fire a shot but then again, the cocking action itself is an integral part of the whole enjoyment process.

When fired, the spring loaded mechanism resonates with a resounding "thump" and projectile vomits the sonic foam dart (which was also supposed to resonate as it flies through the air) quite a respectable distance. Kimmie tried firing a dart at my arm at close range and it stung slightly. Weng kept suggesting that Kimmie use her niece as a moving target. Ha ha ha.

Heh heh... time to start a collection of Nerf weapons!

My next targets:

N-Strike Recon CS-6: Customisable assult rifle with magazing clip and removable barrel, scope and support.

N-Strike Vulcan EBF-25: Battery operated Automatic fire turret.

The Big Bad Bow: Fires foam arrows 30ft! Designed after a real bow.

Drooool...
