Just a quick post while walking back to work after lunch.
My observation at McDonalds: (MD = McDonalds Staff)
Me: 1 Double Cheeseburger and a large Coke please.
MD: That will be $4.20
Me: (Hands over money)
MD: (Walks away to prepare food)
Me: ... (Hand outstretched still holding money)
MD: (Comes back with food) That will be $4.20
Me: (Hands over money again)
MD: Member? (Still doesn't take money.)
Me: I tried to sign up but the...
MD: MEMBER?
Me: ... No.
This seems to be a country-wide phenomenon.
